About EduRatings 2.0
My name is David Robb and I am an elementary school technology teacher with the Howard County Public School System in Maryland. Currently, I'm enrolled in the School Administration and Supervision certification program as part of Johns Hopkins University's partnership with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). The creation of this site is part of my internship in pursuit of certification.
Why this project? I’ve seen too many educators, eager to try new Web 2.0 tools, become overwhelmed as a result of the overabundance of choices.
My objective: Simplify the review and selection of tools by providing a place for educators to rate and comment on Web 2.0 tools used in professional practice. By supplying an avenue for teachers, administrators and other educators to rate these tools, the results will be more reflective of professional opinion.
To keep this site user-friendly I’ve chosen only a representative handful of Web 2.0 tools from the thousands available. The Web 2.0 tools available here are among the most widely used in the K-12 world. If you have a suggestion or notice an omission, please notify me via the contact link above.
This project will be displayed during a poster session at the 2009 NECC Conference in Washington D.C. However, it is my intention to keep this website active after my course and presentation.
Thank you for visiting my website. Kindly take a few moments to provide some feedback.
